The Street, Sanitation and Recycling Department picks up garbage, yard waste and recyclables from all properties of 4 units or less within the West Lafayette city limits. Larger properties must contract with an independent hauler for trash pickup.

 

Overseen by Street Commissioner David A Downey, the Street, Sanitation and Recycling Department is located at 705 South River Road.  Our staff can be contacted by telephone at 765-775-5242 if you have any questions, concerns or comments including reporting snow/ice conditions, missing traffic signs and residential road repairs.

The Street and Sanitation Department is requesting help from property owners to keep alleys clear of overgrown shrubs and tree limbs.  These overgrown shrubs and tree limbs harbor mosquitoes and cause the alleys to become impassable.  Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
